Lollapalooza 2014

August 13, 2014 - Pulling off 3 epic days, 5 stages and over 100 performances, Lollapalooza Chicago just wrapped up it’s 18th festival last week in Grant Park and Eventbase is thrilled to have been a part of it by providing the official festival app to over 220,000 fans. The event, which included such headliners as Eminem, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Calvin Harris, and the recently reunited Outkast, rounded out its concert lineup with a cultural aspect to its annual festival and drew audiences from across the country.

This being our fourth year working with Lollapalooza, we helped the longstanding festival roll out its first ever multi-event app to amalgamate its three South American events with Chicago’s so fans could follow along within one feature-rich and interactive interface. As a renowned brand, this allowed Lollapalooza to carry the same festival experience to fans, no whatever where they were in the world.

The rich media wall within the app - a feature we like to call Discover - highlighted the event’s stellar lineup and was a favorite for fans who could drill down to view videos, visit the artist’s sites, read bios and more. Additionally, attendees had the ability to favorite artists as they browsed (or sync to their online favorites) and create and share personalized schedules for the duration of the 3-day event.

Make it to Santiago, BA, Sao Paolo or Chicago for Lolla? Tell us how we did on our iOS or Android festival apps.
