Calling All Film Buffs
Every year tens of thousands of film buffs flock to the famous and prestigious New York Film Festival. This highly sought after event is known for showcasing the best movies from around the world and screenings are often followed by Q&As with filmmakers and actors.
Four Eventbase film fans took in the 2016 Festival as part of our Ticket to Ride (TTR) program. Anna, a Producer; Taylor, an Account Executive; Abhiraj, a quality assurance analyst; and Adrian, a software analyst, were excited to participate in this year’s festival in New York.
While at the festival the team caught some interesting films, attended some fascinating Q&As with actors and directors, and enjoyed experiencing film premieres. Abjiraj’s favourite moment was “the world premier of the movie 20th Century Women. It was amazing having the director talk passionately about the movie!”
The team also had the opportunity to explore the Big Apple, seeking out trendy speakeasies and eating out at some remarkable New York restaurants.
But, these four brought back more than just great memories. They all found being on the user-end of an Eventbase app eye-opening and validating of the work they do. It also gave them a fresh perspective of the benefit of a well-designed app at a festival.
Taylor also had a great spin on the overall TTR experience:
“TTR is a perk at Eventbase that brings employees who work in other departments closer together. It is a great way to experience a new city and a live event with like-minded individuals who have different roles in the company. Not only it is a great way to gain perspective on other teams, but it allows you to create shared memories with people who you see everyday, but may not interact with on a regular basis.”
Our Ticket to Ride Program is unique to Eventbase. Every Eventbaser gets the chance to experience a festival, conference or tradeshow we’ve developed the app for. Not only is it a great opportunity to see our apps in action, it also gives our team great real-world insight and ideas for how to improve our product. Plus, it’s a lot of fun!
