Since 1999, the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience has brought a full weekend of music, food, crafts, and culture to the city of New Orleans. A convergence of up-and-coming bands and massive headliners, the eclectic festival used the Eventbase Premium app for their 2014 event to round out the fan experience and to help audiences make the most of their time there.

An animated and highly interactive app, Voodoo’s digital guide garnered thousands of downloads long before the crowds descended on New Orlean to help fans check out the lineup, discover new artists, and personalize the schedules. The animated user interface and an interactive, rich-media wall made it straightforward and fun to navigate. And integrations with the top social media platforms helped amplify fan experiences and photography.

Onsite, responsive maps of the venue and neighborhood provided easy access to information on stages and to check out onsite marketplace, food, and art offerings. A large number of users took advantage of the app’s integration with social media platforms to share photos and conversations, with updates being automatically tagged with Voodoo’s relevant hashtags.

To celebrate 15 years of Voodoo, organizers wanted to spotlight their festivals from past years. Enter Vault, a bonus rich-media artist showcase that incorporated videos from their favorite and most memorable acts. This enables them to engage with fans for the entire year, and to get them hyped and eager to return for Voodoo Music + Arts Experience 2015.
