Yoga and Yachts and YouTube, Oh My!
Imagine your job sending you to Cannes to sip rosé overlooking the Mediterranean, do yoga on a yacht, and get up close and personal with Gwyneth Paltrow? Eventbasers Becky, Stephanie, and Joelle took off to the south of France to attend the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity as their Ticket to Ride (TTR), and what a ride it was. Our unique TTR initiative gives Eventbasers the chance to experience our apps first-hand at the events they’re designed for.
One of our TTR events is The Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, the advertising and communications industry’s marquee event, attracting the world’s biggest brands and agencies known for their innovative and cutting edge work. This was our 2nd year partnering with Cannes Lions and each year our goal is to create an app that not only exceeds expectations, but is also fit for this highly creative and innovative audience.
All three Eventbasers chose Cannes Lions as their TTR in (large) part because of the location, but that wasn’t the only draw. As Becky said, “the opportunity to be immersed in inspiring creativity from around the globe was really exciting.”
As for the festival itself, in addition to rosé and yacht yoga, highlights for our team included the YouTube, Twitter and Facebook beaches; talking with other attendees about Wired co-founder Kevin Kelly's amazing talk about the future of technology; and hearing Rashida Jones session on "Creativity is the Only Way to Survive.”
Looking back at Cannes Lions through rosé coloured glasses the three of them brought back more than just memories from Cannes:
Becky: “The motivation you pick up from the diverse and inspiring speakers was great. The reminder to persevere, and to put your mind to things were my two big takeaways.”
Stephanie: “Excellence in design and execution.”
Joelle: “Always remember to keep an open mind, in life and in business. And there's always another way to reinvent an old idea, bring it to life and improve.”
Their takeaways resonated with us as we’re all about excellence in design, execution, and constantly innovating!
