September 25, 2014 - As the signature event hosted by Salesforce’s ExactTarget in Indianapolis, Connections 2014 is the premier event for digital marketers and users of their marketing cloud platform. With the final day of Connections drawing to a close, it was great to see that ExactTarget's focus remains putting the customer first.
The conference spotlights strategies, technology, and ideas for igniting an organization’s digital marketing and driving customer engagement. Keynote speakers included the likes of Marc Benioff, Mindy Kaling, John Green and ExactTarget’s team of Product experts. Eventbase was thrilled take part of the stellar event having worked with ExactTarget on their official event mobile app.
In addition to helping attendees get the most out of the massive conference, the Connections Mobile App used a network of iBeacons to boost audience engagement, maximize sponsorship value, and deliver a seamless gaming element. As part of a unique sponsor activation, organizers ran a beacon-enhanced contest called Passport to Prizes that provided attendees with a chance to win an amazing travel prize $25k in value while giving sponsors a compelling way to reach and engage with their audiences. Additionally, conference-goers were kept up to date on the latest conference updates though highly targeted location-based content and alerts.
